Jumbo Car Costa Rica Promo Codes & Coupons November 2026

Great value for a 4WD!

Compared to Alamo or Budget, Jumbo Car Costa Rica offered a really competitive price, especially for a longer rental which got an automatic discount. We rented a 4WD vehicle with roof racks and it was perfect for exploring; you do need a credit card for the security deposit though. Booking online was easy and applying a promo code worked fine on the checkout page.

Great experience with a manual SUV!

My partner and I rented a 5-passenger SUV with a manual transmission from Jumbo Car last week, and it was a really smooth process. We were a bit worried about getting full insurance, but turns out it's actually mandatory here, which was good to know upfront. Applying our promo code during the online booking was simple on the checkout page. The car was perfect for exploring Costa Rica, and picking it up was quick. I'd definitely rent from them again over some of the other options like Budget or Sixt. Highly recommend!

pretty good airport rental experience!

i needed an Airport car rental LIR and Jumbo Car had a solid deal after checking a few places like Alamo and Budget. booking online was super easy, and i liked that discounts for longer rentals were applied automatically without me even needing a promo code. getting the car was quick enough, though they did try to upsell a bit on insurance which felt a little pushy. the Car rental with GPS was exactly what i needed and worked great for navigating around. overall, a positive experience, and no hidden fees popped up, which was a relief after hearing horror stories about other companies.

Always a great choice

grabbed the car rental with WiFi hotspot again, needed it for work while traveling. really appreciate that they usually apply discounts automatically for longer rentals, makes it super easy without hunting for promo codes. consistent service every time, which is why I keep coming back over Adobe or Vamos.

solid rental experience

way better than my last rental with Adobe Rent a Car, those guys really nickeled and dimed me. jumbo car costa rica was straightforward. i booked a car rental with roof racks online, and the promo code applied easy at checkout. needed to add a car rental with child seats later, and they handled it no problem. good pricing, especially since i got a weekly rate. found out the minimum age to rent is 21, which worked for me.

Decent, but cancellation is tricky

Anyone else think their cancellation policy is a bit confusing? The Mitsubishi Montero auto 4x4 Sport 7-seater was perfect for our trip, and the rental process was easy enough. Just wish it was clearer on how to cancel without a bunch of calls.

Decent enough for the price

got a pretty good deal with one of their promo codes this time, saved about 25% on an economy car rental. i usually go with Jumbo Car Costa Rica for my trips, always get a manual transmission car which is what i prefer. this trip was alright, the car itself was fine like usual, pretty reliable. what bugged me a bit though was the full insurance thing. i was trying to find a clear answer on whether it's actually mandatory for foreigners and it felt a bit like they were pushing it hard without fully explaining the options. ended up getting it anyway, but it added more than i expected. still, good prices overall compared to Alamo or Budget sometimes.

Good for long-term, but some confusion!

i was checking out the 4WD vehicles for a long-term car rental, and the daily rate seemed good, especially with the automatic discounts for longer rentals! but man, i really had to dig to figure out if there were any hidden fees. it wasn't as clear as Adobe or Vamos. still, the selection was solid and i'd probably check them out again if i can easily find a promo code next time!

Geely rental and SJO pickup

I booked a Geely Coolray manual 4x2 for my two-week trip. The online booking process was straightforward. When I arrived at SJO, the shuttle to their office was quick, maybe 10 minutes. The car itself was clean and drove well for all the gravel roads we took. I liked that the full coverage insurance was explained upfront. Drop-off was easy too; they got me back to the airport with plenty of time. A solid rental experience overall.

Consistent experience again

Rented another Mitsubishi Montero last month for our trip, and it was just as good as the last two times. Picked it up at SJO, shuttle was on time. No surprises, which is what I look for with car rentals. Always reliable.
